Sound Principles

Sound Principles

Oftentimes, we find ourselves making emotional decisions. Whether we are dealing with issues that affect our family, finances, jobs/business, etc. This can be especially true when shopping during the holidays! However, decisions based on our emotions aren't decisions we can stand on and be proud of in hindsight. Emotions are fleeting and can leave us with feelings of regret when we act on them.

Principles, however, are rooted in truth and are used as personal guidance or laws for how to conduct ourselves in any situation. Religions and the most successful businesses in the world are set on the foundation of strong principles.

Emotions can be noisy, from the physical pounding in our chests to the thoughts that scream in our minds to act impulsively. But this is only a distraction. Things in our daily lives prey on our emotions to distract us. If we operate in established principles, we can cut through the noise, be decisive and achieve and obtain things we will be proud of. Our principles speak to who we are, but emotions are fickle.
